Alabina

Isthtar’s real name is Eti Zatch. She was born in Kiryat Ata, Israel. Her mother is Egyptian and her father is Moroccan. Isthar had interest in music ever since she was a little girl. At 15 she began to sing and perform at a theater. Her carrer was interrupted by the Isreali army draft where she served as the first female fighter jet mechanic. After leaving the "civilian", at age of 24, she went to Austria, where she performed in nightclubs, singing and dancing. But she did a real career in Paris, working with the formation of Kaoma - known for its hit "Lambada". Finally, in 1996, was offered the implementation of the song "Alabin", which combined the Middle Eastern and flamenco elements of music. This was enough to find accompanists, who turned out to be Spanish gypsies from Los Ninos De Sara.
